Men at some time are masters of their fates:
The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars,
But in ourselves, that we are underlings.
(Julius Caesar, 1.2.146), Cassius to Brutus

Asif Jah is one of those towering personalities of the history that create and shape history of their times. He was not a king but a king maker who knew to make a right move at the right time. He was brother of Nur Jehan, the beloved and influential wife of Mughal emperor Jahangir and father in law of heir apparent Prince Khurram, who became emperor after the death of his father Jahangir. Mudassar Bashir

Biography:

Zaheer ud Din Babar, Badshah Ghazi, had the ambition to rule over Kabul and Kandahar, even before he set foot in India. This desire was not fulfilled during his lifetime. After him, Naseerud Din Humayun, Jalalud Din Akbar and Nurud Din Jahangir longed for the same. This dream came to fruition during the reign of Shah Jahan and that too, without his lifting a finger, when the Shah of Iran, Tahmasp Safavi and the governor of Qandahar, Ali Mardan Khan fell out among themselves. Maharaja Ranjit Singh was one of the wise rulers of Punjab. He recognised the rising power of the British in India, even before he came to power. He also knew that the British, in addition to employing collaborators in the native princely states, were equipped with modern warfare techniques and materials. To meet these needs, the Maharaja, like Haider Ali, Tipu Sultan and Siraj ud Daula before him, developed contacts with the French generals. The French were experts in modern warfare and had the advantage of being the arch rivals of the British. More...

Shah Rustam Ghazi

By: mudassar bashir

Translation: Muttahir Ahmad Khan

Biography:

There is no detailed account of Shah Rustam Ghazi in the books of history. As far as we know, he was the teacher of Aurangzeb’s daughter Princess Zaib-un-Nissa. He was a highly educated figure during the era of King Shah Jahan and King Aurgangzeb. The historians did not conduct any research on the point whether the title “Ghazi” was part of his name, or a title  added, later on, by others as a token of respect. Kanhaya Laal Hindi wrote about Rustam Ghazi, in his book “Taareekh-e-Lahore” (The History of Lahore):

علامہ اقبال کے ساتھ ان کے تصور خدا پر ایک خیالی مکالمہ

November 16, 2014 at 11:32 AMAdministrator

By: Uzma Saeed

Biography:

He was a bright star on the firmament of Hindustan, a hero of romantic tales. He was born Saleem, named after the spiritual mentor of his father. Later in history, both had cities named after them. Extraordinary Rendition

Hakim Hazik

The angels of Allah SWT carried my throne from Chaklala International Airport to the JFK. There were prominent leaders of Islam gathered in force to greet Yours Truly, including Rev. Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson, may Allah be pleased with them. These are the people who have undergone privations and hardship, but have lit the candle of Islam in dark corners of the North American television.  I have started a coast to coast journey, where I will pay homage to our foregone heroes especially John Wilkes Booth and Lee Harvey Oswald who fought against the oppression of their day, against the egregious violations of articles 62 and 63 and brought a revolution to provide justice to the masses. If we follow in their footsteps, we can bring the same revolution to our beloved country, Canada, for which our ancestors had laid down their lives. More...

Imam Abu Hanifa came. He came in a Mercedes 450 GL SUV. He wore shiny new Gucci shoes and a snow white Armani cloak, as opposed to the starched khaki of General Bajwa who was his chief of staff and carried his lota and his staff. I kissed his shoes, (General Sahib’s) and we sat down for a double double of Tim Horton’s, with the help of an armoured personnel carrier (Imam Sahib’s) whereas outside the container, the angels stood guard (General Sahib’s).

The first meeting of the Naya Cabinet was held today. By happy co-incidence, the national Abu Mus’ab Al-Zarqawi day was also celebrated today, in the length and breadth of the country. Mr Ahmedi Nejad, the former president was to be the key note speaker in the inauguration ceremony, but was busy arranging a cartoon competition for the International Holocaust Day. He sent a recorded message of felicitation. He called the Prime Minister Imran Khan, his brother and a kindred soul. More...

Meray Aziz Hamwatno,

The address in the General Assembly was a resounding success. All three delegates and the three flies who attended were buzzing with excitement. There were people outside the hall who were paid by the international Jewish Lobby who tried to raise Cain, but were ably put down by the metropolitan police, something that the Prodigal Brother has to learn, in addition to smashing microphones and wearing wellies in flood waters. Ever since Pakistan was created by the efforts of the Quaid e Azam, our eternal enemy has been trying to undermine this gift of God to the Ummah. It has only been due to the vigilance of our valiant armed forces who have stood guard and thrown stones on the Geo building, that we are still living in freedom and are able to send our children to schools where they can learn about the Two Nation Theory and civil liberties and grow up one day to become prize vegetables, steeped in the liberal philosophy of Prof. Oriole Maqbool Jan. I met Imam Abu Hanifa in Edgware. No, not in Baghdad. Even Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani does not live in Baghdad anymore. Baghdad is yesterday’s news. They did not want to fly to Mississauga either, as that would cause their wings to be burnt and the story of their injuries to be leaked to the demonic Toronto press. More...

Extraordinary Rendition

The armies of Trans-Ravius approached the ancient capital of Rome in a classic pincer movement.

In the arduous task that the emperor, Nawazius Lundius Bazarius, had undertaken, that of restoring the empire to its ancient splendour, it was first necessary to revive among his troops a sense of order and obedience. He impressed upon them that a people ruined by oppression and indolent from despair, could no longer supply a numerous army with the means of luxury or an extension in tenure of service or sixty percent of the GDP.
