The Trial of Pervez Musharraf

Extraordinary Rendition

March 9, 2013

by Hakim Hazik

The President of Pakistan and Commander of the Faithful, Brig Zaheer ul Islam Abbasi, confirmed today that the enemy of the state and fugitive from justice, Gen. Retd. Tinpot has been captured today from an underground cellar in Chak Shehzad, the Islamabad suburb that has become a hiding place of dangerous criminals.

As our readers will remember, the Tinpot government lost the elections 5 years ago on 18th of February, 2008. Unfortunately the CIA station chief in Pakistan, Mrs. Anne Patterson, refused to recognise the results of these elections and launched a massive operation to undermine the results, as Gen Tinpot was seen to be crucially important to safeguard the American interests in the region. The newly elected prime minister, Mr. Amin Fahim was forced to go into exile in South Africa. There was a spate of high profile political assassinations. As the security situation deteriorated, the front line political leadership including Mr. Nawaz Sharif and Mr. Asfandyar Wali left for the relative safety of Afghanistan. Eventually an armed campaign was launched by the legendary guerrilla warrior, Gen Baitullah Mehsud. His Waziri fighters entered Islamabad in Sept 2011, an event which is now celebrated as the Revolution of 9/11. The valiant students of the Darul Ulum Haqqania of Akora Khatak, surrounded the US embassy, also known as the ‘Nest of Spies’ in the Islamabad, where they still hold in protective custody, the agents, including Mrs Patterson, who were abusing their diplomatic privileges and spying on the people of Pakistan. General (Now Field Marshal) Mehsud is currently the commander-in-chief of the Pakistan Army.

The vanguard of revolution in Karachi, the students of Binnori Town Maddrassa, stormed the US consulate in that city. The American staff from the Karachi consulate and their political allies including the detested governor, Ihsratul Ibad and their families was evacuated via helicopter, to the aircraft carrier, USS Harry S Truman, waiting in the Arabian Sea, from where they were taken to the American naval base in Karnataka. Mr. Wasim Akhtar managed to escape in a balloon.

The former Chief Justice (Hajji) Iftikhar Chaudhry was allowed to return to Pakistan, after 3 years of exile in Jeddah. He has been allowed to work as the personal secretary of the current Chief Justice, Maulana Abdul Aziz Ghazi, who works from the Federal Sharia Court, formerly known as the Supreme Court of Pakistan. He recently reiterated the determination of the revolutionary government to rid the Islamic society of deviations and heresies. Public displays of excessive emotion on Ashooras has been considered contrary to the revolutionary ideology and therefore banned.

The federal minister of health and education, Dr. Farhat Hashmi who returned from a self imposed exile from Canada, after the revolution has said that the government is working tirelessly to ensure female virtue and as soon there are sufficient funds available for this to happen, the girls and women of Pakistan will be allowed to go to schools and also seek medical treatment in hospitals.

The foreign minister, Maulana Masud Azhar, in a joint press conference with the head of the Strategic Planning Division of the Pakistan Army, Prof. Bashirud din Mahamood said that the strategic assets of Pakistan are in safe hands, and any American attempts to harm them will lead to a global catastrophe. He was speaking after the recent nuclear explosions conducted by Iran. He described as ludicrous, the claims that the revolutionary Government is selling nuclear technology to Iran, the so called ‘Oil for Nukes’ affair. He described the visits of the Dr Bashirud Din to North Korea, Caliphate of Jaziratul Arab (Former Saudi Arabia), Libya and Egypt as ‘routine’. He also condemned the American recognition of the so called Republic of Greater Balochistan and called for the immediate withdrawal of the Indian Army from the Azad Kashmir and Sind and an end to the naval blockade of Karachi.

It has been learnt that General Tinpot will be tried in an open court and sentenced publicly in Liaquat Bagh, where most of the sentences of the federal court are carried out. The trial is expected to last for 3 day.

This is good, but a bit too subtle at places....many readers will read this as "pro-musharraf" and others as a positive outcome...

To prevent this case scenario from panning out, involvement of the entire civil society will be required as effectively as in the case of the lawyers' movement for the restoration of the judiciary. So far the civil society has been complicit in a conspiracy of silence. In fact nearly every one has been implicated as a possible mastermind behind the terrorist attacks in Pakistan except those directly responsible for these acts. Ijaz Haider wrote, ‘….out of this trauma can emerge the will to fight it out but only if people do not sympathize with the perpetrators of these acts. Right now…..terrorism is being seen as a reaction and that shifts the focus away from the innate dastardliness of the act. In doing so it also makes it almost acceptable. That must change.’

Thanks Omar, the meaning of this should be clear to the Americans, when they interfere in other countries to prop up the repressive dictators, they end up losing credibility, polarisation of society, extinction of civil society institutions, and war with neighbours, Iran is the case in point. And they have supported murderous genocidal regimes in Pakistan, (1971), Indonesia, 1965,Chile, and others.
When they make pro-Musharraf noises and seen trying to impose a government on Pakistan, they are repeating the same idiotic policy. They can't save Musharraf, but they can damage Pakistan, and the post imagines one such nightmare scenario.
Thanks Dr Uzma. The people of  Pakistan have given a verdict against the idiology of the extremists. It is only the democratic forces who can isolate and control the extremist, no amount of condemnation will stop the suiciders, because they are driven by a different ideology. Practical steps are needed and the first step would be the establishment of the rule of law and removal of brutal, incompetent and lying dictator Musharraf.

All the evils your witnessing with in the society is not because of one man but because the whole nation wanted it . So be it.
