Address to the Nation

By: Hakim Hazik

Meray Aziz Ham Watno,

In the name of Allah the beneficent, the merciful.

In the name of soft strategic depth, which has no equal.

Tonight, I want to report to the people of Pakistan and to the world, that the ISI has conducted an operation which has neutralized and eliminated Husain Haqqani, the biggest threat to the world peace and to the rule of law.

The operation went according to plan. It was a tribute to the professionalism, bravery and dedication of the Pakistan army. Years of meticulous planning and training finally bore fruit.

It was a dark day 4 years ago when this man who heads an evil network was forced upon the nation. The images of his evil deeds are seared into our national memory.

The darkest day in our history was when this man orchestrated the cowardly attack on our sovereignty by crafting the protocols of the elders of Kerry and Luger. If successful, this conspiracy would have allowed the supremacy of the civilian government over the army. It would allow vast sums of money to be invested in schools and hospitals and stop the diversion of scarce foreign exchange to Kahuta and Khushab and other national institutions deep underground.

This would have been an unbearable travesty and a humiliating setback for the nation.

Due to the vigilance of the peerless intellectual forum, the Corps Commanders Conference, this dastardly attempt was foiled and we prevented these God given resources, snatched from the jaws of the enemy, from being wasted on trivial and frivolous political pursuits dreamt up by the corrupt politicians.

This challenge was met with resilience and with determination by the Pakistan army which evoked shock and awe in the bosoms of the likes of Haqqani, Kerry and Luger. Unfortunately they escaped the devastation of our daisy cutters and took refuge first in Tora Bora and then on the Capitol Hill and the DC Embassy.

I am very pleased to inform the nation that a small team of our professional soldiers carried out this operation with extraordinary courage and capability deep inside enemy territory, more than a mile away from the GHQ. None of our brave soldiers were harmed. They took care to avoid civilian casualties. After a fierce firefight, they eliminated Haqqani and took custody of his remains.

Yet, this success does not mark the end of our effort. There's no doubt that the liberal fascists will continue to pursue attacks against us. We must and we will remain vigilant at home and abroad.

But tonight, we are once again reminded that the army can do whatever we set our mind to. That is the story of our history, whether it's the pursuit of prosperity for our officers, or the struggle for real estate for all our generals; our commitment to stand up for our values, and our sacrifices to make the GHQ a safer place.

Let us remember that we can do these things not just because of wealth or power, but because of who we are: one army, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all officers whether in uniform or under cover.

Thank you. May God bless you. And may God bless the army and the ISI.
